This is basically a Warmer tourney. Each game is hosted by one of the judges, with up to 6 players per judge. This means that in the first round, some of the judges may have to host two games. In each round, you get three 60 second turns in which to rope as awesomely as you can, without any restrictions!

The judge (or judges in later rounds) will rate each turn with a score from 0 to 10, precise to a quarter (0.25) of a point. The highest score of your 3 turns will count as your result in that round, with the top 50% of all players advancing to the next round (or more in case of several players tied at the cutoff score, but never less).
Please don't ask us to give you your scores during games as we're very busy then; the tradition is to announce them in #RH after each round.

In the Final round players will get 5 turns to do their best.

The judging is subjective, we don't have any set criteria or specific point bonuses for each roping trick, so don't take things too seriously. We generally look for creativity, difficulty and consistency, but we try to take into account everything related to style, including the overall fluency of each turn.

Rope your best and you'll do well. G'luck!

Tip: Make sure to warm up before the tournament as there won't be any practice turns before the first round. The maps to be used in each round remain a secret until the tournament to ensure nobody can have an unfair advantage.
